Tournament Rules
To be eligible for a Golden Ticket, tournaments must meet the following requirements –
- Tournament must have a minimum of 8 entrants.
- Tournament must be open to everybody.
- Tournament must be held at an Ansteorran calendar event.
- All Golden Ticket tournaments must be labeled on the Kingdom Calendar as a Golden Ticket Tournament and publicized as such.*
- Golden Ticket Tournaments are limited to one per day per event with preference being given to the hosting group.
- All Golden Ticket tournaments are subject to approval by ToC Coordinator/Autocrat and or the Crown.
Anyone may sponsor a Golden Ticket Tournament as long as it meets the above requirements. Local Groups, Households, Polling Orders, etc… are only allowed one Champion in the Tournament of Champions.
By holding a Golden Ticket Tournament, you agree that a representative of your group will be present on December 12th for the Grand Processional to present your Champion to the Populace. You also agree to contribute to the Kingdom Sentinel prize basket.
An individual can only win one Golden Ticket. If a fighter wins a Golden Ticket tournament and is already in possession of a Golden Ticket the Ticket will go the 2nd Place winner, and on down the line until a person is reached that does not yet have a Ticket. Golden Tickets are not transferable.
You must have your Golden Ticket or have served as a Champion of any Ansteorran location (Barony, Shire, Canton, etc) any time after January 1, 2015 in order to enter the Tournament of Champions
To enter the Tournament of Champions, the combatant must provide either a Golden Ticket or a letter from a Baron/Baroness/Seneschal acknowledging the Champion’s name and dates of service. If a combatant has misplaced their Golden Ticket, a letter from the Baron/Baroness/Seneschal of the event that hosted the tournament declaring the combatant victor will be accepted.
On the Morning of December 12th, there will be a last chance tournament prior to the Tournament of Champions.
Each King’s Champion will receive a Golden Ticket. Each Queen will bestow a Golden Ticket upon her Choice during her reign.
*This requirement is waived for the month of January 2015.
