How do groups receive the Golden Ticket to award it?

There’s a Google Form that can filled out online. Get your request in as soon as possible, so a Golden Ticket can be mailed to you in time for your tournament. Once the request is processed we will contact the Kingdom Calendar Deputy to have the Golden Ticket Label added to your event.

Can a tournament "double dip"? Can Steppes Warlord be a Golden Ticket Tournament?

Absolutely! If this is the tournament that the Barony of the Steppes decides they want to feature as their one Golden Ticket tournament then all they need to do is request a ticket in advance for the tournament.

Any weapon restrictions?

If the tournament is legal by SCA conventions, it is legal for the purposes of being Golden Ticket eligible.

Can groups outside of Ansteorra sponsor?

No, but Ansteorran groups can sponsor Golden Ticket tournaments on foreign soil, like at foreign Wars, if the event is listed on the Ansteorran Kingdom Calendar.

Will a list of ticket holders be posted anywhere?

Yes, the winners are being posted here as we receive them.

Where will this big tournament be held so I'll know if I can make it?

The tournament is being held at Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church in Flower Mound Texas. Please see our Site Information for more information.

Is there a limit to the number of golden tickets that will be given out?

No. Just remember only one ticket per group.

Group = Canton of Chemin Noir is one group - so the Barony of Northkeep is another group? Even though the Canton is part of Barony?

That is correct.

Hypothetically - I'm a landed Baroness and I'm the head of household, could both my Barony and my household host separate tourneys?

Yes, they can even be held at the same event, but not on the same day of that event. They can also be held at separate events.

What about Rapier?

We will be adding a Rapier Tournament of Champions in 2016. After much discussion, we decided to start with only one discipline in order to help work the kinks out this system. In addition, we will be fundraising for the pass down regalia for the Champions and spreading the fundraising out over 2 years will be less of a burden on our Populace.
